Case History
The victim was found wrapped up in a piece of carpet and dumped along the Sacramento River, near KVIE Channel 6 and the Garden Highway, in Sacramento, California on August 11, 1986.
The body was dumped on the bank sometime between dusk and 11:30 a.m., when a passer-by spotted it and called sheriff's deputies. The body was wrapped tightly in a roll of carpet bound with wire, but showed no signs of external injuries rr trauma. Police found no identification at the scene. It appeared that someone had tried to dump the body In the river, where the carpet would have caused it to sink. Instead the body got caught in the rocks about five feet from the edge of the water.
