- Distinguishing Characteristics: Unknown hair and eye color.

- Clothing: "Russell Athletic" sweat shirt with a front zipper (size L),
torn "Farah" black jeans (size 32Wx30L), 2 black gloves, black , beige baseball
cap with yellow-brown dream catcher pattern in front, "Mossimo" embroidered black
ski cap (size: Adult), navy blue, down-filled parka with multiple logos inside
("Triple Fat Goose", size M/M style: TFG-3), and a black/gray "T-mobile Gemline
4965, 960331" backpack.
- Dentals: X-rays are available. #19 has fractured roots.
- DNA: Samples submitted - Tests not complete.
- Fingerprints: Not available.
- Other: Bugler tobacco can, red lighter, pack of rolling paper, brown
Leatherman-type fold-out pocket knife, and a black-handled knife with a gut hook
were found with the remains.
Case History
The victim was found at the base of a tree near the top of the Atalaya mountain trail by a hiker.
The location is about four
miles from the Wilderness Gate trail head. A rope with a frayed, broken end was tied to a tree limb. The tree was off the
trail.
Ligature marks were found on the mummified soft tissue adhering to the cervical vertebrae.
Some reports list November 4, 2007 as the date of recovery.
