  • Medical: Antemortem trauma in the form of healing bilateral fractures
    to the right ribs 6 through 9 and left ribs 4 through 8. Perimortem trauma in
    the form of cranial fractures to the left and right parietals, fractures to the
    right humerus (spiral), and left tibia (longitudinal).
  • Dentals: Not available.
  • DNA: nucDNA is available: Male partial STR profile obtained (15 loci and
    gender marker amelogenin). Profile entered into the California Missing Persons
    DNA Database, the National Unidentified Persons DNA Index and CODIS
    (ref# BK-07-000351-0001).

Case History
The victim's skeletal remains were found by a fisherman in a metal cooler chest pulled out of Conway Canal near the
Sacramento River outside of Woodland. The discovery was made near a road connecting Woodland and West Sacramento,
which runs parallel to Interstate 5. The metal chest had been weighted down with stones and may have been in the water
for as long as six months.
