On October 31, 1989, hunters discovered human skeletal remains on top of the ground in a wooded area, off a pipeline, near the dead end of Nekoosa Street within the Texaba Subdivision.

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office deputies investigated and recovered additional human remains.
