Vital Statistics

  • Estimated age: Adult
  • Approximate Height and Weight: 6'0"; 150 lbs.
  • Distinguishing Characteristics: Wire from oculoplastic reconstruction, inferior rim of left orbit.
  • Clothing: A sleeveless navy vest jacket, size 3XL. The jacket is zipped all the way up in front. Right and left pockets on the jacket have zippers. The pockets were empty. Written on the left breast is a logo. Eyeglasses with silvery metal rims and posts. The lenses magnify (correct far sightedness).
  • Dentals: 14 teeth recovered.


Case History
The victim was located in the 2000 block of Vanderbilt Road in Birmingham. Skeletal remains of adult male beaten to death in February 2007, buried in shallow grave. Detectives were acting on an anonymous tip when they went to the location and found the body behind an abandoned textile business.
Assailants report that decedent was black and that they disposed of identification. Assailants say decedent had ridden a train from Texas. Killed and buried near train tracks.
