Ian Ashley Richardson was last seen on April 30, 1992 in the Denver, Colorado area. He lived in the area of Lowell Boulevard and West 29th Avenue in north Denver. He also frequented the Idaho Springs area. Investigators believe Richardson was involved in a sexual relationship with a known sex offender, John Taylor, starting when he was 13. Taylor was a neighbor of the victim's mother. Richardson made several claims of abuse and sexual assault to the police. The last abuse claim stated that Richardson awoke to find that he had been circumsized by Taylor. He was never seen again after this last allegation. One investigative theory to Richardson's whereabouts, thanks to an informant, is that Taylor, who has never been charged with Richardson's disappearance, chemically cremated his body. Taylor admits to having a sexual relationship with Richardson, but denies playing any part in his disappearance. Investigators say that they have little doubt that Richardson met with foul play, and that Taylor is currently their prime and only suspect.
