Circumstances of Disappearance
Marino was last seen on May 1, 1984 in Italy. Matino said goodbye to his parents at The Benevento station after having spent Easter with them. He was going to Bologna where he worked, but never arrived there. Marino never cashed the 400.000 lire check that he had on him and he hasn't touched his bank account since he left.
Mainos' parents believe he may have decided to start a new life. Days before he disappeared he said he wanted to dedicate himself to spiritual life and leave his work. He may be a member of the ASUMC (Spiritual Association for the Christian World Unification) community, best known as Unification Church.
