Lisa Joanne Govan
Missing since October 8, 1999 from Kalgoorlie, Western Australia
Classification: Endangered Missing

Vital Statistics

Circumstances of Disappearance
Lisa Govan was last seen at approximately 07.30 on the morning of Friday, October 8th, 1999 in the vicinity of the Foundry Hotel Bottleshop in Kalgoorlie. She was seen making a mobile phone call outside the Club Deroes clubhouse a motorbike club on Boulder Road.
Govan, who had just been retrenched from her job at a Kalgoorlie assay laboratory, had been out drinking with her former work colleagues at Safari nightclub for most of the evening. She had nothing to do with the motorcycle gang.
She was reported missing by her de facto husband who returned to an empty home after finishing a night shift.
Despite extensive inquiries by police and family her whereabouts are not known. Concern is held for her safety and welfare. She is very close to her family who live in Perth, Western Australia and she normally speaks to them every day or every second day. Lisa's family moved to Australia from England when she was 17. She had worked as a barmaid, receptionist and sales assistant. Lisa moved to Kalgoorlie with her boyfriend and was there more than two years but pined to be back in Perth, close to her parents.
Foul play is suspected.
