Circumstances of Disappearance
Salvatore Colletta and his friend Mariano Farina disappeared in the morning of On March 31, 1992. They had decided to skip school and have a picnic on the beach. They asked a friend to drive them on his motorbike to the beach, 2 km from the town, near the houses, which are closed out of season. Before saying goodbye to their friend, Salvatore and Mariano told him they wouldn't be back.
The search for them started that evening, without any results. In the past, the two boys had already shown a desire to run away. Mariano was fascinated by the States, where he had lived with his family until 1990, and he dreamed of going back there.
