Vital Statistics

  • Estimated age: 60 years old
  • Approximate Height and Weight: 5'3"
  • Distinguishing Characteristics: Brown eyes; dark coloured, greying hair, which was in 13cm plaits at the back. Medium to heavy build. She had a prominent facial mole between her nose and upper lip.
  • Clothing: A size 16 blouse in an orange flowery design, had a pink skirt on and had size 7 feet.
  • Other: Believed to be Jamaican


Case History
The victim was located on the westbound carriageway of the M45 motorway in Northamptonshire, on 10th April 2002.
She had swallowed 10 packets of cocaine.
Detectives say they are now convinced the mystery woman was from the St Catherine's district of Jamaica. It is thought she may have been known by the nickname of "Modern Girl."
A post-mortem examination indicated that she may have died from a heart attack.
