Case History
On December 15th 2002 the remains of a woman were found in woods near Ruislip in west-London. They were found by ramblers walking in Copse Wood, off Duck's Hill Road.
A post mortem was unable to determine cause of death.
Near the body some syringes marked "insulin" were found and binoculars were discovered some distance away. Toxicological tests on the body did find faint traces of anti-depressants.
An examination of the body which traces elements in the bones indicated to detectives areas she may have lived in. She may have spent a longer time in west Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Chorley and Blackburn.
