Patricia and Pamela Hobley went missing on Oct. 31, 1969. They skipped class that day, and were planning to go to their Oscoda High School's homecoming game and a Halloween party later that evening. When Pamela's boyfriend told her family that she never showed up for either event, it was discovered that Patricia was missing as well. Neither of the girls had a purse or ID with them. The two girls usually did not hang out together.
In May 2013, a witness came forward saying that he had dropped the pair off at a gas station in downtown Oscoda, after picking up the girls who were walking along River Road, around 2pm that day. Back in 1969, investigators believed that the two ran away, so many leads pointing to foul play were not pursued until later into the investigation. Foul play is suspected.
