Circumstances of Disappearance
Ellen Coss is from the Republic of Ireland but disappeared after being dropped off at Piccadilly Station in Manchester. She was heading home to her family but never arrived. Ellen disappeared on November 3rd, 1999 while returning from Manchester, where she had recently visited her sister. Ellen was meant to go to Holyhead and then on to her home in Dublin by ferry.

She is very softly spoken, but is usually very sociable and friendly. Non-smoker/non-drinker. She took many jobs including hairdressing and house cleaning (so may be working in any of those jobs). She has been an active member of both AWARE and GINGERBREAD. Ellen was separated for many years with an adult son living in London. Ellen was involved in the Windy Arbour/Dundrum community. She had a love of traditional Irish music and walking.

Ellen had been depressed following her mother's death.
It is believed that she may be in the Shropshire area.
