Elgohary was last seen in Honolulu, Hawaii on May 26, 1997.
She was was abducted by Magdy Ahmed Elgohary. A felony warrant for Custodial Interference was issued for the abductor on June 18, 1997.
They may be located in Mit Ghamer Dakahlia, Egypt.

Her parents had sharred custody of her at the time. Janet Greer was 40 years old when she bacame pregnant with Sarah. The couple hadn't worried about birth control because Janet thought she couldn't conceive, having earlier in life lost an ovary and fallopian tube. Elgohary told Greer he wasn't ready to be a father and to abort and did not take an interest in the child.
