She left her house with her car saying that she was going to Gallipoli, Italy to go shopping. Her car had signs of a break-in was located on the road from Gallipoli to Lecce.
Concetta Maria Marsano was having an affair with a married man at the time of her disappearance and was possibly pregnant.
