Circumstances of Disappearance
Claudio De Martino was last seen in July 1996. On that year he left his job. He was still deeply affected by the death of his wife who occured in 1993. In 1996, he was taken to the hospital where he stayed a few days under observation. Doctors, considering he was not suicidal, let him go after a few days.
After his case was profiled on the Italian TV show Chi L'Ha Visto several persons called, including a bartender who knew him from prior to his disappearance and one of his friends, saying he was now living as homeless in Genova.
