Circumstances of Disappearance
Francesca Caputo was last seen leaving her residence in Voghera, Italy on December 12, 1996. She carried her purse with her identity card in it and about half a million liras. She left a few after her husband left for work at 4 am while her two sons where still sleeping. A woman who knew Francesca claimed to have talked to here that morning between 7.15 and 7.20 am. It is possible that she left to start a new life but the circumstances concerning her disappearance are unclear.
