    Diane was reported missing by relatives two months after she relocated to Luther, MI. She left behind two children. Police questioned a suspect, Clarence Bean Jr. He was married, but involved with Chorba. Initally Bean claimed that Diane was a victim of flight 191 which crashed in Chicago on May 25, 1979. Cook County medical examiners assigned the task of identifying the crash victims, later disproved this. Clarence Bean, Jr. was found guilty of the murder in 2001. According to Bean's wife, Ollie buried Diane in the woods near bristol, after removing her jewelry. He cut down a large tree in order to hide the grave. Chorba's body was never located.
