Circumstances of Disappearance
Black was last seen in the Los Angeles area of California on March 14, 1996.
Mr. Black was despondent over his health. On the day he was last seen he failed to keep a medical appointment. Mr. Black may be a patient of a medical facility or be in the care of a board and care facility.
Black's disappearance could also be connected to three other disappearances that occured in Los Angeles from 1996 to 1997. Patricia Laxer and Goldie Swanger both were last seen arriving home from the doctor in August 1997. Swanger's disappearance was solved in 2004, no further details concerning her case have been disclosed. Richard Davison left home to keep a medical appointment, but never arrived at the doctor's office.
The four persons aged from 57 to 72 were all Jewish and had the same doctor. None of them was described as as having Alzheimer's or other dementia problems nor prior histories of wandering.
