Case History
The victim was located on April 8, 2006 in the woods along Lotus Road off Louisiana 59, near Mandeville, Louisiana.
Authorities did not publicize the death at the time because it appeared to be a suicide. A nylon rope hanging from a tree was tied around the man's neck, which had been broken by the apparent hanging.
He was likely homeless or a loner, with few, if any, ties to the area.
